The primary goal of this course is to teach students the basic principles for analysing and designing a computer control systems. The main topics of the course are as follows

- Structure of a computer control system, signal conversion and processing ,

- The Z transform ,

- Transfer function and state space representation,

- Stability and performance of discrete time control system,

- Design of control system using PID controller, pole placement controller, state feedback controller, linear quadratic controller and phase-lead compensator and phase-lag compensator.
