This course is intended to provide a comprehensive guide to an understanding of the theory and many applications of fluid mechanics. Through this course, the learner will grasp the properties of the fluid, static fluid pressure on the solid surface, buoyancy and stability of objects in a fluid, Pascal's law, differential equations of the fluid flow, and then apply them to solve the real engineering problems. The course supports the development of student problem-solving skills through a large variety of problems, representing a broad range of engineering disciplines that emphasize realistic situations encountered and provide varying levels of difficulty.
